While it may humor you, that mush you see above was an add on the story above and I want to buy what they want to sell me. Truly targeted adds make me feel good inside.

YouTube, questions haven't changed

The YouTube difficulties are the same difficulties that have existed for many, many, many years and have only been of the utmost concern in many consumer goods, then in '99 it was digital music, i.e. Napster and the peer-to-peer network disease that, seemingly, millions took part in.

The argument is over copyrights. Covered best in a public service annoucement provided by Youth For Human Rights International titled "Copyright" (which can also be found on YouTube).

The point in it all is that of ethics, a human right covered by the United Nations document, adopted over 50 years ago, titled the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which in it's unabridged form reads:

ARTICLE 27... (1) Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.
(2) Everyone has the right to the protection of the moral and material interests resulting from any scientific, literary or artistic production of which he is the author.

It is not a question of money loss or gain, it's a point of ethical conduct, and for that the subject of exchange. Is there any exchange? Has there been work done for you, in which you did not exchange back for? Would you work for nothing? Not even in the acknowledgement that you HAD WORKED?

The Art of Signage

I saw the new Church of Scientology Berlin, opened just two days ago. The signage is definitely something else. Check out the lettering up top where it sais " Church of Scientology Berlin.

While I heard about this through Mr. David Miscavige's (Chairman of the Board Religious Technology Center) announcement of the grand opening a few weeks ago, the signage is a doing an incredible job for those in the area, there is media on it from one end of Germany to the other and even outside of Germany. Check out the story on the Grand Opening of the New Scientology Kirche Berlin.

New Years Day Fraught with Floods

Today my attention swings from ads to disasters once more.

Aceh Indonesia, the site of a flood displaced 272,000 people.

And in Malaysia it's another 40,000 with floods of their own.

Something can be done about it. Those on the ground every time, contact the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Coordinator and get what you can do to help.

IceBerg Ads

While it's always a shame to have large shelves of ice take pick themselves up by their ice straps and take off into the world on their own, it opens up some shameless potentialities.

How long before someone tags it with graffityi? As it descends down the Atlanticc, it may well become an attraction. And where attraction is, advertising lurks in the shadows. Before you know it you will have entire walls of ice covered in posters. While placing them is precarious it's still worth it.

For the technical specialist

It's entertaining somewhat but I'm not tracking I'll tell you what. But if I was truly understanding of that kind of thing, I would likely have been sold, I watched the whole dang thing it caught my attention so strong. Pretty good I sais, pretty good.
